Aiden paused at the door of his bedroom and let out a slow sigh before hesitantly knocking and opening it. Pat was sitting on the side of the bed staring into space, the wheelchair park messily nearby, so Aiden gently sat down beside him and took his hand to kiss his fingers. “Pat, it’s okay, love. You have nothing to be embarrassed about…” He watched his boyfriend in concern, wishing to hell he had all the right words to say.
